- I use the cold process method to create soap using therapeutic olive oil. I add a
bit of palm oil and a dollop of coconut oil for extra healing properties. This old
time Castile Soap recipe creates a firm, healing, anti-
aging, moisturizing bar. After the soap saponifies for
approximately six weeks, I hand grate it, melt it with
fresh mountain spring or floral water, add the color,
fragrance, exfoliant, medicinal plant, mineral, etc...
to the final soap ensuring these ingredients - like seaweed -
have not been altered by the chemical reaction of saponification.
Then the soap is aged another 4-6 weeks before being offered to you.
